Account and Workspace Settings
This guide explains how to set up workspaces and accounts to create and use projects on the DATUMO platform.
① Workspace
A workspace is a collaborative space for sharing projects, datasets, evaluation results, and more. A single workspace corresponds to a single team, and its members can use and manage all resources within the workspace together.
- SaaS Customers: When you sign up for the service, Selectstar will create a workspace and issue an initial Admin account.
- On-premise Customers: The Super Admin within your organization creates and manages workspaces directly.
② Account Types
DATUMO supports powerful access control and efficient team management through a hierarchical account structure of Super Admin, Admin, and User.
Super Admin
This is the master account with the highest level of authority in the system. In a SaaS environment, the Selectstar team takes on this role, while in an on-premise environment, the customer's general manager is responsible for it.
Key Permissions: Manages the entire system, including creating/managing workspaces, creating/managing all user accounts, and assigning Admin roles.
Admin
The administrator of a workspace. Manages projects, datasets, and users belonging to the workspace.
Key Permissions: Responsible for workspace operations, including managing projects and datasets, setting function-specific permissions for workspace members, and removing members.
User
A general member of the workspace who performs core evaluation tasks.
Key Permissions: Can only use features for which they have been granted access. If they have the necessary permissions, they can also create projects themselves.
③ How-to Guides for Workspace and User Management
How to Create a Workspace and Invite Users
Only a Super Admin can create workspaces and user accounts and invite users.
-
SaaS Customers:
- Create a workspace: Request workspace creation from Selectstar through your dedicated channel.
- Add users: After the workspace is created, request account creation from Selectstar if you want to add more users.
-
On-premise Customers:
- The organization's Super Admin creates a new workspace on the [+NEW Workspace] page.
- Create new user accounts and invite them to the workspace on the [Global User Management] page.
User Management Guide for Admins
Admins can manage the permissions of members within their own workspace.
- Go to the [User Management] page.
- Select the user whose permissions you want to change.
- Grant or revoke access to specific features (e.g., Basic Evaluation, RAG Checker) for the user.
- You can also remove a user from the workspace. (This does not delete the account, it only removes it from the workspace).
